CFA한국협회(Korea Society of CFA Institute)는 CFA의 의미를 널리 알리고 CFA 회원 상호간의 유대와 활동을 지원하기 위해서 1999년 10월 10인의 CFA가 모여 KSIP(Korea Society of Investment Professional)이라는 이름으로 처음 시작하여 오늘에 이르고 있습니다.
CFA자격증은 우선 최소한 3년이라는 시험기간이 필요하고 또한 관련업계의 경력이 필요해서 소수의 인원으로 한국협회가 시작되었지만 이제는 회원수가 700명을 넘어서 다양한 금융기관에서 CFA로서의 자부심을 가지고 그 위상을 높이는 데 열심히 노력하고 있습니다.
CFA협회는 매년 2회 이상 국내외 유명한 강사를 초청해서 회원을 대상으로 강연회를 개최하고 있으며, CFA시험응시자를 대상으로 장학생을 선발하여 지원하고 있습니다. 2005년부터 Annual Forecast Meeting을 시작하여 매년 초에 회원들을 중심으로 연간 경제 주식 채권에 대한 전망을 하고 의견을 교환하는 자리를 마련하고 있습니다.
앞으로 CFA협회는 대학의 교육프로그램과 제휴한 CFA 교육프로그램 개발, Corporate sponsorship의 도입을 통한 회원교육 기회 확대 및 저술 및 번역 등 다양한 활동의 지원, 그리고 GIPS(Global Investment Performance Standard)의 국내 보급을 통한 CFA협회의 위상제고 등 중요한 현안이 놓여 있습니다.
그 어느 때보다도 회원 여러분의 참여와 관심 그리고 volunteer로서의 활동이 절실히 필요한 때입니다.

KSCFA originally started as the Korea Society of Investment Professionals (“KSIP”) in October 1999 to spread the value and ethical standards of CFA, enhance the networking among members, and support various member activities.
At the beginning, KSCFA was a small entity with only 10 members due to the rigorous standards of CFA examination process of minimum 3 years and relatively unfamiliar charter in Korea. However, since then the membership has soared and touched over 700 this year, most of them are doing major roles in various financial sectors such as asset management, banks, brokerage houses, and insurance companies. KSCFA members contribute to the transparency, integrity, and ethical standards of financial industries.
We hold a “Speaker program” at least twice a year, for members by inviting world well known lecturers. Also, we support CFA examination candidates financially by providing most of registration fee for 10 candidates a year. Since 2005, KSCFA have held an “Annual Forecast Meeting” for members and candidates to discuss on the prospects of the economy, stock & bond market.
KSCFA is considering to promoting some issues including CFA candidate education program in conjunction with college curriculum, supporting member activities by introducing corporate sponsorship, and introduction of Global Investment Performance Standards (“GIPS”) to the Korean financial industry.
